Thanks Mike for the suggestions,I am sure you are right,the insulators were covered with salt spray and so was the rope!  I have repaired the Ant. but the
B@K amp. didnt like the load and its now only giving me half power,so I guess I will be in listening mode now for a bit (still OK on 136 of course with Daves Decca),
