Spent most of saturday at the UBA annual meeting and sunday was 'motherday' here in Belgium so we visited my and my wife's parents. I could be QRV all evenings (but on friday and saturday QRN was very high) and sunday morning for 1 hour (6.30 to 7.30 UTC). On sunday night propagation was very strange with up to 20dB QSB on DCF39 and DX stations as I5MXX and OH1TN 'in and out' for about 2 hours (20 to 22 UTC). I5MXX peaked 589 for about 10 minutes, he was that strong that even LX1PD heard him and had a QSO. Unfortunately by the time they finished their QSO I5MXX was back down to 549 and I missed him once more :) But 'highlight' of the weekend was a QSO with F6CNI (DXCC nr. 11) who was worked on sunday night with 529/459 reports. Welcome to LF France ! Seen in slow-CW : DJ5AO (O) Heard in 'normal' CW : HB9ASB (419) G3BDQ (529), PA0LQ (589), G3YXM (579), G4GVC (559), G3KEV (589), G3GRO/P (549), PA0MLC (559), OZ1KMR (579), F6CNI (529), LX1PD (599), I5MXX (589), G3XTZ (559), OH1TN (549). Other observations on sunday night : - while G3KEV worked I5MXX, Mario ware not audible at all here (little later he was 589) - while G3YXM worked HB9ASB and gave him 559, Toni was only 419 with me. The sun must have been in a strange mood .... 73, Rik Rik Strobbe ON7YD rik.strobbe@fys.kuleuven.ac.be Villadreef 14 B-3128 Baal BELGIUM (JO20IX)
