Actually, joking aside. I have on the bench a Trio(Kenwood) JR310 which has a very (?) stable VFO which might be further improved by "huff & puff" stabilisation (already discussed with G3nyk). The VFO is solid state but otherwise it is all "fluid technology" (in the sense that inter-electrode spaces are not solid) and seems remarkably "bombproof" in the presence of strong signals. It seems ripe for having LF added if image and other probs can be circumvented. I wonder if group members would care to comment.
