We don't lack input from people experienced in these types of meetings, but we are seeking support from national societies particularly in those countries where Amateur activity is currently permitted around 500kHz. Thus, any encouragement that can be given to your national society to become engaged in the work would be really welcome. The way this can be done is for the HF Manager, or similar, of a national societies to join the Region 1 500kHz Working Group. Rik, ON7YD or I can supply further info if necessary. 73 John, G3WKL 2009/12/10 M0FMT > FYI ?? > > *"There is opposition to this proposal, primarily from the maritime > service via the International Maritime Organisation and this has led to > France presenting a paper under agenda item 1.10 that suggests a use for > the band 495-505 kHz using datamodes.
