Your's truly has been taking lots of notes and tinkering with limited satisfaction. There has been no luck trying to communicate with the neo7 via usb by mucking about with the usb_dp usb_dm and vdd_usb pins. Plugging a usb/rs232 converter in the raspi3 and putting a 232/ttl in the line yielded NMEA strings with a python script. It is not elegant but it seems to work. The next step is set it up for the other direction and dermine how to change the pps to 10 MHz, 8270 Hz and back to pps as needed. Markus and Paul have questioned my choice of the low wire over the high wire. There are several more dB available with the latter, but the feedpoint is 100m away, up a 20m hill and does not (yet) have a comfortable dry location for the precious VLF tuning coils. 73 and thanks again!
