Congratulations on the DX contact, but there is someone a bit further away!
G3JFS in Plymouth is in IO70WJ, and I make the distance to be about 1109 km.
Peter has been active on 500 kHz, but I don't know if he is currently QRV.

Static levels are low in the SE today, so I will be listening later on this
evening.

I suppose Tom's right about the best DX workable, for now.

You might want to try drawing a 1000km radius circle on a map
centred on your QTH and see how far away I am in relation to most of
Europe!

Thanks again and hope to repeat the feat with slightly easier copy at
your end. I've had regular QSOs this weekend with Finbar, but he's
almost a local at just over 600km!
