It does seem a valid concern to not transform "tyres" into "pyres!' If one could invert the trailer and balance it atop the tower the top loading might be more efficient and the insulator would take up less space.

Seriously it sounds like very good idea! I would be most interested in the results.The earth connection - how would that be handled? How tall is the tower?

I gave up this morning and ordered a copy of the new RSGB VLF book! Forgive me, I did this via ARRL.
