Traces on t= he Loran-C monitor show that the transpolar path to Port Clarence / AK is no= w open 24 hours. Minami Torishima (Pacific) was visible throughout the after= noon from 12:00 to 20:00, and the China chains showed up an hour later and a= re still there now at 22:20. Unrelated to that, the DCF39 transmitter apparently experienced some problem= s today, with several carrier outages and periods of powerful broadband nois= e emissions.
