Jacek, there are a number of possible reasons why messages do not "seem" to 
go through the mailing list. I write seem in quotes because many do not 
understand the route the messages take. Also I remind that not receiving 
your posting back is not proof it did not arrive or that other members did 
not get it. The situation is massively complicated by the various ISP 
servers apply their own rules to try to reduce spam. Bounces are generally 
not received from this group I believe. And undelivered message report is 
also dumped. One reason is the obvious one of the ease of producing a 
"ping-pong" effect.

There is little problem with UK originated messages though one or two even 
have problems here. The most often reported losses are from non-UK 
originators. In many cases we in the UK see the distribution but the 
originator does not get his posting back. This is aften a function of the 
ISP who it would seem regards messages to the originator are likely to be 
spam. I have several cases of this happening with specific ISPs on Yahoo 
Groups. Some globe-trotting users like Laurence KL7L were unable to post 
from China. We think this was route blacklisting but having no access to 
admin we have no way of confirming.

All I can say is use text (not HTML) which can confuse the parser, keep 
messages and particularly attachments below about 200kB (I can't now 
remember the actual limit....it may be more than this but is certainly not 
exceeding 500kB).

Do not leave the subject line blank if there is an attachment, because this 
trips up the parser.

Make sure you use the exact posting address you subscribed with. I believe 
gmail and googlemail are regarded as the same but they are two separate 
addresses to an ancient list-server like this. If the problem continues I 
suggest re-subscribing with a different address.

Now there have been significant delays reported on several lists in the last 
few days. Yahoo has be delaying occasional messages 3 or 4 days. This can be 
due to congestion during DDoS attacks.

As I said I have no admin access to this server but if the member having 
problems would like to copy me in on postings to the group, I can check 
arrival at least.
