yes  if  you  want people to  dial = in , =20 then  without a  dial  you  cannot  be =20 dialled  in !  and may dial down the  expectations of = those =20 wanting  to  dial up a  new   mode who in = turn=20  could be dialling   in the  wrong  = settings ?=20

There is no dial here, and no USB. USB = is HF=20 SSB ready-to-use-equipment-stuff.

When i say i'm transmitting = e.g. at=20 137.44 kHz then this means that the center frequency of my JT9 = transmission is=20 137.44 kHz, nothing else. This is a very clear = information.

Dial, if=20 you like that, you can choose what you like: Use 136.0 kHz dial USB = and you=20 will find me at 1440 Hz. If you prefer 136.1 kHz dial then you will = find me at=20 1340 Hz.
