Modest height 100ft? That's higher than our local church tower :-))

Having said that I guess in the USA there will be those for whom this is
indeed a modest height and a 300m long antenna would only take up a corner
of a garden.

For other big antennas, see also the video of the monster 160m 3el beam
antenna at OH8X being rotated http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCZcjqltJVA.
Maybe they'll soon be putting up one for 500kHz?
