I've just heard from Harry G3MFW who is near St Austell in Cornwall. He is almost ready to come on 136kHz using a Decca TX so we should hear him OK. He also has some of those lovely Decca Litz-wire loading coils for disposal. They are wound with 729 strand Litz in a basket weave pattern on perspex framework and each coil has a variometer in the centre driven by Tufnol gears. A similar coil is shown in the RSGB Low Frequency Experimenter's Handbook on page 64. He would like them to go to a good home for a nominal sum. Any one interested can contact me or phone Harry on 01726 73608 I'm resisting the temptation to buy more stuff!
