Hi All,
I have this problem on my IC781, gain reduces by about 20 db at 500kHz.
This does'nt matter when I am using the big transmit antenna, signals
easilly
overcome rx noise. My loops are 20/30db down on the vert, but they still
overide
the internal noise, I don't know wether more headroom would be an advantage,
but
at the moment the only disadvantage is that I can't use the "S " meter for
reports.
Seems like all manufacturers are attenuating above 500, presumably to
prevent big
BC signals from overloading the front end.
73 Laurie.
