The coming night 13/14 December I would like to try QRSS for the first time.
The transmitter I use has been built and used by Harry, PA0LQ. Output power 300W, aerial current 3A.
I have recently measured radiated power to be of the order of 100 milliwatt. So chance of success is rather remote. But one never knows.

There may be a problem though. The TX is controlled by a VFO at ten times the transmit frequency and some frequency drift is unavoidable. If this really is a problem I will ask Harry to modify the transmitter so that the VFO can be replaced by the Wandel & Goltermann SPM -12/SP-12 combination. The output of the SP-12 can be frequency locked to a crystal. Any remaining drift will be reduced by a factor of ten. But for a first effort I would like the TX as is.

As I am new to QRSS I have some  questions:

1. What frequency to be used.
2. What speed to be used.
3. At what times transmission to be started and finished.
