That's   exactly  what  happened ! :)

OP8 has a  lower  decode threshold  that  wspr-2 and provides  functionality 
in higher  noise  levels  , ie  after  dark  static , as can be  seen from 
the  two  decodes  at  -33  and  -32  dB

I took  one   wspr-2   and  3  x  OP8 decode  from  you  ,  the  only 
wspr-2  decode  , at  16:40 / 16:38

Wspr  reported  peak  s/n of  -31 dB   , Opera  8  gave a  average  level 
of  -32 dB , with  fade / loss  of 12% of  signal
This  would  suggest , the  path  was  reasonably  constant and  was in 
100%  daylight   at that  time.

Two further  OP8 decodes  occurred  at  17:06  and  17:38 going into 
darkness  ,  no  other low  level  decodes Op8 or wspr  occurred , and at 
around  20:30 z   I reverted  to  477 KHz .

Dont  forget , these  are  two  totally  different  systems , one is    4FSK 
time  division  system  , the  other  Manchester coded  OOK    Opera  is in 
use  from  Lf to  10 GHz  , with the  same  bit  pattern ,  just the  time 
and  dsp  parameters  are  changed to  match the  requirements, ''as 
versatile as a egg''  as the  advert used to say..
