Hello Stefan,

In the NDB band, I could hear stations from Italy, Austria, Poland 
and Romania, which are normally only there after the sun has set.

I gather that the sun is no longer able to build up a decent D-layer 
at daytime at this time of the year.

There was also a 5700 km short lived opening to Churchill at the 
other side of the Hudson Bay at 09:45 UTC.
