Hi Mike !

Tested a Tablet Device under Win 8.1 for HamRadio:
"Odys WinTab 8 Windows®-Tablet 20.3 cm (8 Zoll) 16 GB WiFi Schwarz
Intel® Atom™ 1.33 GHz Quad Core Windows® 8.1 32-Bit"
(IPS-Display 1280x800), owned by DF2FF Sven, buyed 2014 at CONRAD.de

Tested for Use as portable SDR-Receiver :
SDR : ELAD FDM-S1 connected via USB
Software HDSDR(www.hdsdr.de) Has run perfectly, tested up to 1536 ks/sec

2nd Test : connected to Softrock-Rx v9.0, PE0FKO drivers.
external soundcard (Icon Cube USB, 2x 192ks/24Bit)
Software HDSDR. Has run perfectly, to some extent usable with "touch"

General problems : 1. not usable without a mouse : very high resolution
of display (1280 x 800) and small size of just 8 inches prevents the use
of "Touch"-mode at Windows programs.
2. USB seems to switch-off attached devices after some time (20 min ?),
though energy-saving was disabled.
3. Device has just one USB-Port for battery-charging and data, so
external powered hub necessary. (I was using a 7port hub at the tests.)

All in all a nice toy/gadget for portable Ham Radio activities. All
PC-programs that run on my Win7 PC did run OK on this device. No games
tested, just HamRadio related programs and a QRL-program for
oceanographic research probes.
