No idea of that unix stuff but more general, what exaxtly are you doing at all? Raspi, OK, understood. Which kind of data do you transfer? A certain RF spectrum? From which to which frequency? What kind is the ADC? Are you using a ready to use USB soundcard or a single ADC connected to the RPI, via SPI oder so? Data rate, bits, SNR? Streaming via cable or via a RF link? I have to ask more detailed when my project is running too... 73, Stefan Am 13.09.2014 18:16, schrieb LZ: > Hi, > > News from Wolfson audio on the R-Pi: > > Using an ultra fast SD-card silently "borrowed" from > Daddy those overruns from Wolfson audio were still > present but less often and way shorter. > > OK, next writing into the unix toilet: > arecord -Dhw:0 -r 192000 -c 2 -f S16_LE /dev/null > > Fine, no glitches after hours of recording! > > Next trial was piping the output via ssh to > my desktop computer: > arecord -Dhw:0 -r 192000 -c 2 -f S16_LE - | ssh lz@192.168.1.10 'cat> from_rpi.wav' > > A growing file named "from_rpi.wav" appeared > in my home directory on the desktop computer. > "arecord" consumes only 1% of cpu load and > the piping secure shell process 19%.
