Initial tests look promising: The output timing jitter from a Garming=20 GPS 18x LVC (emphasis on LVC) seems to be much better (lower) than the=20 +/-1 us accuracy specified by the manufacturer. I bought mine for 60=20 Euro from RS Components (p/n 010-00321-36). Details on how to set it up=20 later. I am still working on a decoder for the NMEA bitstream via=20 soundcard (same channel as the PPS signal). With that, a carrier would=20 remain coherent even after a 'glitch' from the soundcard.
