'floating' over the 2 min period i still got positive decoding . the wspr software is primarily used for the beacon mode ( or TX'ing). The receiving abilities are somewhat 'stiff ' or simply there are not so many options you could play with. the point is that you see the signal AFTER it was received and sometimes it takes more than few seconds to make the decoding process i suggest to download the recent version of wsjt - 7.02 where among others, there is also an option for wspr as the qso mode , however , you can use it for only receiving purposes - simply do not mark the "auto is on" box clik on the 'monitor' button and you will receive wspr messages transmitted either by wspr soft or wsjt package. Of course, at first you must check the wspr mode it the "mode" option. when you run the wsjt program it also opens the specjt window which is of a great help when it comes to the receiving the signal - primarily you can observe the signal all the time during the 2 min tx period - you have ( at the bottom of the specjt window) 'buttons' for changin the brightness, contrast and digital gain. also, in the main wsjt window, there is a TOL button and when you play with it using left or right mouse clicks you can narrow or extend the built in filter ( the green mark in the upper part of specjt window) click the mouse button and observe the widening or narrowing the tiny green line . also looking at the shape or 'width' of the signal line you can adjust the strenght of your signal from your receiver coming into the sound card may be those few remarks will bring some help... 73, peter, sq7mpj qth: lodz, poland /jo91rs/
