Yes, indeed the engine at the core of the various Spice incarnations seems to be the original, character-based, work that you mention. as demonstrated by browsing the output file... thanks God they provided a back end ! BTW, the same apparently is true also for the "visual" NEC implementations, they are just wrappers for the old (but still quite valid) Fortran (remember that?) engine that does all the dirty work of computation, while the wrapper dances and sings all the melodies of the GUI... :-) 73 Alberto I2PHD
