It looks like quite a few 136 chaps are now to be found on 5MHz. I have just had my first few (CW) QSOs on the band and these include Derek G3HEJ, Tom G3OLB, and Steve GW4ALG. Tom commented during our 599 chat that it was very much easier than our QSOs on LF... Unlike others who seem to be modifying their Japanese black boxes, I am doing it the real way with a home brew 5W crystal controlled rig. Neither CW nor homebrewing are dead!! One of these days I shall unpack the 136 gear from its cardboard box... 73s Dave G3YMC dsergeant@iee.org dsergeant@btinternet.com http://www.dsergeant.btinternet.co.uk
