It is not a reciprocal signal exchange and therefore makes a nonsense of signal strength reports under these circumstances. In fact the rx loop might not be orientated in the direction of the transmitted signal. Another consideration is a person that has asymmetrical ears.!!! There could be 2 S points difference in your report depending whether he is listening to the left or right. All these anomalies should be declared in a QSO. 73 de Mal/G3KEV .
