Last evening I was transmiting WSPR on the 160 m band, using 5 Watts = EIRP. Exactly the same best time to VK. The extra tranmitting EIRP losses from 160m to 2200m may be expect = around -25 dB (with the same TX output power and using a quite well done = amator antennas for each of the two bands). On the way, very little chance for "the signal comes back before his = sunrise". I had extended test in the years 1980 with two VK6 stations on = CW 160m (over 200 QSO). At this second possible time of propagation, we = had always around 1 to 2 S point below the leved received when I was in = the evening, before the dark night. Regards.
