I would say as a top wire it would be fi= ne but use some copper for the vertical section of an L or T where there= is significantly more current flowing than in the top-load. Loss in the= top load doesnt matter too much as this is not really radiating anything= usefully on LF, but is a vital capacitance to ground. Another way of thin= king of it is that by the time the current reaches the top it has already= traversed the Radiation-resistance. (only true for very short aerials!)
