There was plenty of free space up and =20 down the band. A bit later the CW caller got a reply, but could hardly copy that =20 station. Although both stations were solid copy here, despite the =20 strong RTTY signals. I ended up "multitasking": reading the CW signals by ear and at the =20 same time reading the RTTY on the screen ... Today I picked up a SAIT MT430B marine TX. I haven't tested it yet but =20 if it is still operational it could be converted into a good linear =20 400W TX for 500kHz. 73, Rik ON7YD - OR7T Quoting Gary - G4WGT : > Hi Rik, > > Thanks for your report & comments. > > I enjoyed the QSO with Graham, I could also hear the CW you mention. > > Cheers, > > Gary - G4WGT. > > > 2009/12/5 Rik Strobbe =20 > > > Gary, Grahem, > > I followed your RTTY QSO (+/- 20:40 UTC) with almost perfect copy =20 > from both station. > Even after a CW station started calling CQ about 200Hz up copy was =20 > still good.
