I can hear ADR and a lot of other European NDB's=20
almost every night, using my 500kHz antenna (11m high and 22m long inv-L).
Roelof, PA0RDT, told me that most of these NDB's=20
have an ERP of a few 100mW or less. Taking into=20
account that they transmit AM and in CW mode you=20
just listen to one of the sidebands the ERP of=20
the sideband is probably 20...100mW.
This means that if you hear a NDB it should be=20
possible to receive an amateur station running=20
100mW ERP in (or near) the same location.
