An amateur radio license is much more than just a transmitting =20
license. In most cases it permits the holder to experiment, build his =20
own equipment etc ...
This in contradiction to most other transmitting licenses such as CB, =20
PMR446 and even (most) "commercial" maritime and aeronautical licenses.
