Hi Pete, Fancy a CW QSO on 502.5 later this evening as a rest from all the beaconing stations? To be honest I don't suffer any QRM from any station even if they do beacon non-stop as my nearest is still over 500km away. I'd rather there were some signals on the band at all times, beacons or otherwise, instead of silence! No-one can be sitting at the key 24/7 but as long as those who beacon also have a go at trying to work people when thay can manage it I see nothing wrong with it. As for people calling CQ and getting no reply, I've lost count of the times I've heard stations calling CQ during the day - at often 900km+ distances, and yet they have totally failed to hear my replies. Just my 2d worth. I should be available from 11pm BST. Dust off the key! See you on the band. John GM4SLV IP90gg, Clousta, Shetland
