The problem: There is a special transformer from Radio Shac= k that makes the high L. But which type exactly? So I took four standard= coils in series to make the high L. The BBB-4 was working, but with a ver= y high noise level, even with low noise transistors.
Before I could= fix the problem I got a PCB (AS 069) from the AATIS (a german club that= is highly engaged bringing ham radio and electronics to schools). I build= that "Sferics RX" and its still in use and doing a great job. The PCB is= still in stock at http://www.aatis.de/content/baus%C3%A4tze/lieferbar/men= %C3%BCseite.
I am not member of AATIS. But to me the AS 069 is the be= tter choice than the BBB-4.
