As far as i know, most stations arround EU are using omnidirectionalantenna=
s. Maybe 10% are using loops or cardioid antennas? I know F6CNIand F1AFJ ar=
e using cardioid antennas.
On my RX location in the city i'm using a small active omnidirectionalE fie=
ld antenna. On my remote RX site i'm preferring a loop beamingNW/SE. In som=
e time i will have finished my stereo receiver for MF. Thei can decide to u=
se a T-antenna or a loop or a combination out of thesetwo antennas resultin=
g in a cardioid system. The advantage over e.g. aK9AY design is that i can =
use the configurations simultaneously,i.e. i can build (in SpecLab) a cardi=
oid antenna beaming to NW AND acardioid antenna beaming to SW AND an omnidi=
rectional antenna,receiving to the same time :-)
