it seems to be a VAC related problem.
I am not using VAC, but I could install it anyway and see if I can reproduc=
e the error.
But, as Markus says, with some perseverance it should work for now.

me too: after having freshly installed v.5, I went into settings to change =
the soundcard source, and thereafter the program terminated immediately wit=
h that same error message. I just kept trying and the same happened a coupl=
e of times more. Then after the third attempt, it started up ok and never c=
omplained again. Friday effect?
