Thanks for the images, they are very nice! Maybe i will start some=20
experiments with tubes some day.

At work we've done some simple experiments with car bulb (glass body=20
destroyed) burning in vacuum (arround 1E-8 mbar). We applied about=20
120V=20
between the filament and case and actually got an emission current of=20
a=20
few 100 uA. That was exciting :-)
