Hi Stefan its a difficult one...... at 0400 UTC only the east of Europ=
e
would be coming into daylight, and a flare would have no effect on the
signals from the west (that would be in shadow to the X-rays and UV.)=
 The
usual source of extra absorption, the Equatorial Ring Current is low=
 at
present, but that doesnt meean something else is at work :-))
