I was just testing out my old 73kHz loading coil - with the possibility of the odd QSO. Plugged in the beacon keyer and didn't notice it was still set from the last 10GHz event where I use the alternative callsign to confuse people. Was running about 80W of RF, which if memory of 6 years ago serves right, equates to something like 8mW ERP. It was only on for a couple of seconds! Tuning earlier with the low power Tx runing abt 300uW ERP Andy G4JNT / G8IMR ----- Original Message ----- From: Laurie Mayhead To: Sent: Saturday, June 28, 2003 10:01 AM Subject: LF: 73kHz this AM > Heard Peter G3LDO and worked Mike G3XDV, but who was tuning from abt > 0930-0945 on 72.4 +/- thought I heard the callsign G8IMR but ? > 73 Laurie. > >
