The replacement is a broadband low noise type (M0BMU design) & will hopefully provide a better SNR over the previous tuneable one which required regular tweaking. I have also split the band into two SpecLab displays with Grab1 covering 499 to 504.4kHz & Grab2 covering 504.4 to 510kHz. I think this is a better approach than the original 500 to 510kHz. The 503.7kHz beacon grabber remains the same as before using the JRC NRD-345. 73, Gary - G4WGT - IO83QO. I use BullGuard Spamfilter to keep my inbox clean. Hi,

In an attempt to im= prove the performance of Grab1 & Grab2 at http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/wgtaylor/gra= bber2.html

I have replaced the= RF pre-amp before the Softrock Lite SDR which I use to receive the 500kHz signals.

The replacement is= a broadband low noise type (M0BMU design) & will hopefully provide a better SNR over the= previous tuneable one which required regular tweaking.=

I have also split= the band into two SpecLab displays with Grab1 covering 499 to 504.4kHz & Grab2 covering 504.= 4 to 510kHz. I think this is a better approach than the original 500 to 510= kHz.

The 503.7kHz beacon= grabber remains the same as before using the JRC NRD-345.

73,

Gary - G4WGT - IO83QO.
