Likewise VE1ZZ (VX9ZZZ) has an excellent location on this end. Unfortunately I'm well inland but at least on a 'mountain' with a good view of the distant horizon but with some trees. I've been unable to receive your WSPR signal thus far although I've only watched a few times that you've been active. SM6BHZ is the only station that is 'routine' copy. Assume you were running full power in that mode? If there is no reception on WSPR the chances for cw to make it through are virtually nil. Will keep an eye on your WSPR signal. Once that gets logged we can proceed to cw. The WE2XGR/2 cw beacon runs many evenings on 506.5 kHz. With the successesful early evening contacts with Finbar I'll start it earlier - about 2200 - 2230Z. Unfortunately, there are grabbers in the US that could be used as an indicator but they are often parked on a different part of the band. Also keep an eye open for WE2XGR/6 on 507.3 kHz. Bob is currently running about 3 dB more power than I am and routinely shows up on G4WGT grabber...my signal shows up somewhat less.
