David
That sounds good. I have found 7Mhz good to to the USA evening and night tim=
e. I have not tried 10 Mhz but it could be useful to avoid contest acty.
Good luck=20

  Hi all.

Can anyone on the East Coast USA comment of the state of 501 -504kHz for t=
ransatlantic reception?

I have confirmed availability of a large field in East Sussex for this Sun=
day night for some portable operation.

If I have to select a frequency, then I may as well choose a clear one pos=
sibly in the mid - upper portion of the band say 503.1

One potential problem for cross band into Europe using Mals well establish=
ed 7033kHz is the CQWW WPX contest. - So may have to go to 10MHz for that, o=
r we do have 400W + 16 ele on 2m at 600 ft ASL which should be fine for ON /=
 F / PA western DL.

Locator will be JO00EW near Dallington East Sussex.
  Power 0 - 250 Watts, antenna dependent. - Aim +10dBW peak ERP

Main purpose of this trip is the antenna experiment, but it would be nice=20=
to make some CW / QRSS3 QSOs too.

Site location can be seen here.
  http://www.vhfdx.net/callbook/gmap.php?Lan=3DE&Call=3DG1KAW/P&Loc=3DJO00EW

  phone / text 07958502540. e-mail g0mrf@aol.com. Internet available on si=
te.

  Thanks

  David
