These are normal conditions for this time of year for DX locations and the
peak time will be around end of December during January and February.
For those with a good antenna system and suitable RF output then CW and QRS
3 - 10 will enable a EU operator to work TA
Slower speeds are not usually necessary for TA. For longer haul to VK,  JA
and VE7 then there could be some merit for QRS at slower speeds.
There will be poor days also but generally conditions on LF are fairly
predictable at this time of year for TA contacts.
One problem, it is hard to always co ordinate some one at the other end with
a suitable station and antennas for a QSO at the present time.
Some years back this was not a problem and nightly there was always someone
available in the USA es Canada to engage in a QSO and lots of xband QSO'S
also took place mostly on 7 Mhz, where condx are generally reliable for TA
destinations.
There was nearly always someone calling from W es VE on 7Mhz in those days
for a QSO or giving some guidence about signas being received from EU
because there were NO GRABBERS. Real radio then !!!!!!!!
There is a good possibility you will be HEARD from now on using CW across
the pond.
Peak times are around 2200 - 0100 utc and again early morning 0400 - 0700
utc this is generally the case from my QTH, there will be slight variations
depending on propagation.
Optimum  conditions to the East from my QTH start before my sunset for DX
and then gradually get better and peak 3 to 4 hours later and I have worked
UA9 es UA0 on MF during afternoon time, day light during mid winter.
