If you can't get to grips with PIC chips and surface-mount technology but still need a stable VFO for 136, try this.
It's a hardware DDS by Pavel, OK1DX, built with 74HC series chips covering the band in 256 10Hz steps.
You could easily pull the master oscillator to make DFCW.
