So did I, at about the same age, using a Ford coil which I still own.=20 It worked well, on an inverted L antenna, and obliterated all=20 broadcasting reception in my small country town. The nearest=20 broadcasting station was a hundred miles away so my state of the art=20 transmitter had an easy victory.
