VA3LK is OFF again with another shattered insulator. The insulator, glass dog bone type, 6 inches long, in the rope that pulls my antenna out from the side of the tower has shattered and the antenna is now hanging against the side of the tower. I have made up a new insulator section of 6 dog bone insulators, glass, ceramic, glass, ceramic, glass, and ceramic, all six inches long, now about three feet long. I hope this will be a final repair for this problem. Due to traveling tomorrow I will not have this new insulator in place until Friday PM. I will transmit on Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday.
