That's because you kids who have been separated by rebellion for 230 years
next week don't know the meaning of words in English.

A floor is a raised platform .  Try an _English_ dictionary.;-))

The ground is not a raised platform so it is not a floor.

If you have several raised platforms above the ground level it is logical to
call the first one you construct or come to::  the first _floor_

The French word Niveau really complicates things.

Do you think this independence thing will last ?
