This is years ago and I do not keep records of something that became routine. I did not know that ZZ was SK. Over the years I worked him on numerous occassions on 160 metres early evening still daylight here at times. . and for a while he was testing on 500 Khz. I had a report from him on that band, I must check if I logged the acty (it is not necessary to keep a log book in the UK) Around at the time was VE1ZZ, NC1K a AA1 stn VE1JG I think and others that called me xband on 7033 whose calls I do not remember but have gone from the scene some years back maybe before you got going. I think Warren you have missed the fun and frontier days !! de mal/g3kev ----- Original Message ----- From: "Warren Ziegler" To: Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2011 3:10 PM Subject: Re: LF: Re: Fw: TA CONDX/QSO Mal, On MM0ALM's QRZ.COM page there is a reference to a 1650 ft tower and PSK 31 transmissions on 136kHz. There is also a link to a QRSS capture received by VE1ZZ - (and not a very good capture, that signal would not have been audible by a long shot! ): http://www.wireless.org.uk/newspic40.htm VE1ZZ has gone sk so I don't know who else could verify these stories. -- 73 Warren K2ORS WD2XGJ WD2XSH/23 WE2XEB/2 WE2XGR/1 On Wed, Dec 21, 2011 at 9:52 AM, Warren Ziegler wrote: > Mal, > > What was MM0ALM running (TX/ant) ? > I have been active about 8 years and have never seen him mentioned before. > > -- > 73 Warren K2ORS > WD2XGJ > WD2XSH/23 > WE2XEB/2 > WE2XGR/1 > > > On Wed, Dec 21, 2011 at 9:47 AM, mal hamilton wrote: >> I think you are talking about QRS I am talking CW, Did u ever listen on CW? >> MM0ALM was the strongest signal from anywhere world wide at the time >> obviously Dex you were not around on LF at the time or on at the wrong time. >> You missed all the fun and I am going back as far as 12 years ago and in >> between but not in recent years >> >> >> mal/g3kev >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Dexter McIntyre W4DEX" >> To: >> Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2011 2:25 PM >> Subject: Re: LF: Re: Fw: TA CONDX/QSO >> >> >>> I can't find any record of ever receiving MMØALM or EIØCF.
