M0BMU writes me about this loop "I did copy Stefan's signal successful=

ago - he was QRV for a longer period that time."

About the easyloop end 9 khz bf, never forget that: "A filter works co=
rrect=20
and has the frequency responce that it was designed for... when the in=
put=20
and output impedance is matched with the circuits before and after the=
=20
filter" This means that a filter is not a black box where you plug it=
=20
somewhere and plays... you have to look carefully and check if the ban=
dpass=20
of Jim's loop can fit inside your easyloop amp. BTW i think it is wort=
h to=20
try build the complete loop circuit and then you may start make experi=
ments=20
on your easy loop, with this way you will have a point of reference

no (unfortunately). I'm more or less in the same condition as yours (a=

for skills, as you looks much more an experienced OM than me, clumsy=
 VLF=20
listener :-)).

Nevertheless I'm interested in any possible improvement, targeting noi=

It looks like the M0BMU's 9KHz bandpass filter could be added also to=

Thanks! It is true that SV land is not active on 136khz even that we=
 got
this band on 4/2006... First of all congratulations for your achieveme=
nts on
dreamers band!!! I got informed about your work on 9khz from G3XBM's=
 blog
that is my favourite blog (it is my source for inspiration, i check it=
 every
day and iam big fan of him - even that i never got in contact with him=
 and
dont know him in person)

I have a "kind" of interest in LF and i say "kind" because my only wor=
k on
LF was an upconverter i constracted many years ago with an SA602 to re=
ceive
SAQ on 10MHz... thats all.

I have restrictions in space on my main QTH in Athens something that=
 makes
my operation difficult on wavelegths 80m and below... BTW the work i=
 see
from you, G3XBM (on 500khz), M0BMU and others make me to cheer up and=
 dream
that maybe i can do at least "something" on VLF/LF. After the last pos=
t of
G3XBM about your last activation on 9khz..I subscribded to the reflect=
or to
receive more info about what you did and what was the longest dx.

My locator is KM17UW and i think that our distance from your portable
location must be something close to 1750kms

Until now Iam reading about E-field and H-field antennas and Iam plann=
ing to
build one probe and one loop... from all the things I found I think fo=
r (9
khz) the most interesting H-field antenna is the loop with the 9khz ba=
ndpass
of M0BMU and the E-field is the ADA, AN ACTIVE DIFFERENTIAL ANTENNA FO=
R
5Hz - 500 Khz By I1RFQ where i've done already the calculations in ord=
er to
build an e-field dipole for VLF only  freq. 3+ Khz.

So I plan and hope to construct soon these two antennas for 9KHz recep=
tion.
After that my next step is to make a loop for 136KHz based on papers=
 of
M0BMU and try receive LF signals on 136khz. In greece we have a strong=
 QRM
source very close to LF band that  belongs to the Greek Navy (RTTY)...=
Iam
sure all of you who are active on this band know what iam talking abou=
t...so
this QRM makes difficult for me be active since it is not more than 10=
0km
far from  me...

So at first I will try to become an LF SWL..

About the 9KHz the greek laws leave open the activities below 9khz wit=
h the
only point to not produce QRM to the services above 9khz... this gives=
 me an
oportunity to make some experiments on this frequency using narrowband
techniques with low power and "ground antennas" on the transmitter
side...like G3XBM

All these things are in my "wish" list.. and I must do actions instead=
 of
wishes. So I'll start to build RX antennas for 9KHz and i'll see what=
 will
come next

It would be nice to have a QSO with you but i think on these frequenci=
es the
only option would be cross band.. me on HF and you on LF

TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION: YES MY WISH IS TO START RECEIVING LF/VLF AND=
 GET
YOUR SIGNALS AND I WILL TRY TO MAKE IT REALITY
