Andy ...I have looked at many dozens of tankers and container ships here in
Vancouver over the past few years and non of them have any of the
traditional inverted L's, Marconis etc that they once had. In fact I was
surprised at how quickly they all dissapeared! Likely what you saw was
rigging for lighting, flags etc.
