I think any technique using the up down buttons could be prone to frequency shift due to spurious pulses appearing....crosstalk from the PTT or even during the receive period.....because there is no fixed carrier position. But it should be possible to have time to check it out at Dot 60 !! Maybe a couple of de-bounced buttons in parallel to correct any problems ??
