Again it was best in the "second half" of mutual dark path time. Of the seven nights that UA0LE has so far been transmitting, I missed one (gear still packed from the ZM2E trip), but got O copy for good periods on each of the other six nights. Mike ZL4OL, located near Dunedin, has also been monitoring, and did receive beacon signals on the night I was AWOL, so the evidence is that the ZL/UA0 path is rather productive for LF DX. I can also report that I have been supplied with a sequence of Argo pics captured last Saturday night from a location near New Orleans (USA). The captures show very good copy of the ZM2E side of the QSO with UATLE, however from initial inspection there is nothing useful displayed of the UATLE side of the QSO, yet the display bandwidth is sufficient to show it if it was received. There are QRM lines as well, which may mask UATLE, so more analysis is needed. My provisional view is that a north/south LF path appears to have significantly better DX propagation than an east/west path. 73, Bob ZL2CA
