The day has been quiet with no flares and a background X-ray flux of about B5. The Kp index did go up to 4 again for 3 perios, and is expected to stay in the 2 to 4 range over the next few days. I dont expect that increase to have a great effect on conditions at 136kHz. There is just the possibility that it may start to increase absorption a little from Tuesday, though these low levels (4) in the past have not produced noticable effects. The first signs of trouble will probably be deep troughs on Steve's plots. Good Luck to those trying the early morning "watch". Cheers de Alan G3NYK alan.melia@btinternet.com
