This tuner that I have contains and additional unit on the left hand side 
but in the same box. The extra unit has a antenna terminal, white ceramic 
like the other large one and a vacuum relay behind it, antenna change over 
relay. Must be a late model or variation but not mentioned in any documents.
I got the unit in GI land so I expect it came from one of the ex RAF/USAF 
bases in the area like TOOME, CLONTOE or one of the others.
Some of the old USAF buildings are still standing at these bases.
If you want a photo of the unit let me know.

    There is only ONE B-29 that is still considered airworthy (out of
nearly 4,000 B-29's built).
The one airworthy B-29 "Fifi"  is in need of an engine overhaul.
